CinemaQuo See licences

Terms of use

Last updated: October 2026

These terms apply to CinemaQuo DCP Studio and to the CinemaQuo exporter for Adobe Premiere Pro (together, “the software”), sold by CinemaQuo (“we”). By buying, installing or using the software you accept them.

1. Buying

Our online store is run by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record: Lemon Squeezy processes the payment, collects sales tax and VAT, and processes refunds. Their own terms apply to the payment.

2. Licence

3. Activation and online check

The software checks the licence online when you activate it and each time an export starts. There is no offline period: without a connection to our licensing service a new export cannot start. An export that has started finishes even if the connection drops. What this check sends is described in the privacy policy.

4. Refunds

You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, as described in the refund policy. After a full refund the licence is switched off. Files exported before that are not changed.

5. What you may not do

If these terms are broken, we may revoke the licence.

6. Third-party software

CinemaQuo DCP Studio uses libraries from the FFmpeg project under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1 or later. The libraries are the files in the ffmpeg folder installed with CinemaQuo DCP Studio. Their source code, the changes made to it (none) and the configuration used to build them are provided in the same folder, and the licence is in ffmpeg/LICENSE.md. We do not own FFmpeg; FFmpeg is a trademark of Fabrice Bellard, originator of the FFmpeg project. Nothing in these terms prohibits reverse engineering of the FFmpeg libraries. Other third-party components are listed in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt in the installation folder, with their licences.

7. Your packages and your content

You keep all rights to your media and to the packages you make. You are responsible for having the rights to the content you package, and for testing each package on the playback equipment it is meant for before delivery. The software checks its own output, but it is not certified by DCI or SMPTE, and no software check replaces a test on the target system.

8. No warranty

To the extent the law allows, the software is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. This does not affect rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data or missed deliveries, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Changes do not apply to a purchase made before them unless you accept them.
